About the opportunity
Bathurst Health Service is offering the exciting opportunity to work as part of the Social Work team who provide a high level service to the acute hospital and community. This position will provide the successful applicant with a community focussed role with the abilty to also work within the acute hospital setting.
The Senior Social Worker is an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing high quality services to patients/ clients of the Western NSW Local Health District (WNSWLHD) in order to meet their health and wellbeing needs.

To apply for this position, please address the following Selection Criteria
A bachelor degree in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers. Knowledge, skills and experience to meet the requirements of the NSW Health Professionals Award Level 2.
Demonstrated proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Extensive specialist or broad generalist knowledge with experience working in a hospital setting including trauma areas, clinical proficiency and ability to work with minimal supervision, and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/ caseload.
Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
Demonstrated ability to lead planning and evaluation of team activities.
Demonstrated ability to provide and coordinate staff and student supervision.
Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes.
