Your new role

A brand new opportunity is now available for an experienced Plumber to join our team at Middlemount, providing all repairs and maintenance to the accommodation, offices, and other buildings within the Village and Middlemount Township. You will provide a high standard of work in line with company, contractual, legislative and safety procedures.

Applicants MUST HAVE

Trade qualification in Plumbing and Gas Fitting or equivalent
The position is a 7 days on and 7 days off roster. The role is on call when onsite to respond to critical works deemed appropriate by management. The role is Drive in Drive out with personal vehicle access to site. Accommodation, Meals and Uniforms will be provided.

Requirements

At least 3 years demonstrable post trade experience working in a Commercial / Industrial environment
Previous experience providing maintenance services in a remote environment (preferred) or;
Previous experience working in a Plumbing and Gas Fitting position involving large volumes of assets and programmed servicing schedules
Ability to conduct manual handling and lifting, bending, digging, using heavy equipment, and standing for lengthy periods and work in hot and noisy environments;
Using a ute or van to drive around the villages, towns, and mine sites for transporting equipment, alternatively, be required to walk and carry equipment or push a trolley;
Performing repetitive tasks with accuracy and adhere to spotless' standards of safety and cleanliness.
OTHER

As a pre-requisite for these roles candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug screen as well as a National Police Clearance;
Salary package - includes uniforms as well as accommodation and meals in camp whilst on roster;
This role is Drive in Drive out (DIDO), for that reason it is a requirement that candidates have their own reliable transport. The roster is 7 days on; 7 days off therefore living a reasonable distance from Middlemount is essential. Please consider this prior to applying;
This is a unique role and applicants need to carefully consider the at times challenging climate and harsh environment.
What you'll need to succeed

Trade qualification in Plumbing and Gas Fitting or equivalent
Relevant State licences
Current first aid and CPR certificate (preferred)
Hepatitis A, Tetanus (required)
Working at Height, High Risk Licence for Elevated Work Platform (WP) and Hoist (HP) (preferred)
Spotless will provide training if additional qualifications are required under the contract
Current Qld manual driver's licence
Ability to work 7 days on and 7 days off roster
High level of understanding and commitment to OH&S
At least 5 years’ demonstrable post trade experience working in a Commercial / Industrial environment
Previous experience providing plumbing services in a remote environment will be highly regarded.
Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical highly regarded.
