We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Psychologist to provide specialist clinical services to our customers. Reporting to the Clinical Governance Manager, the role will be responsible for providing evidence based service to our customers focusing on person centred approaches while developing comprehensive behaviour assessment reports and intervention plans. This opportunity will suit a passionate and committed individual with a positive approach to behaviour services that contribute to quality of life and therapeutic care for individuals living with disabilities.
Key duties include:
Contribute to the positioning of Activ Positive Behaviour Services as a provider of choice for current and external customers
Conduct individual functional assessments and develop positive behaviour support plans in consultation with families, staff and other key stakeholders
Work in collaboration with families, relevant decision makers, Behaviour Support Specialists, Coordinators, Managers, key allied healthcare professionals and relevant medical staff
Provide clinical advice and assessment to aide in the reduction and elimination of the use of restrictive practices
Ensuring excellent communication and relationships are established and maintained with internal and external customers
Working collaboratively with QSHE colleges to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
What you need?
Current registration with AHPRA as a Clinical or Registered Psychologist with at least 12 months experience post registration experience relevant to the position;
Eligible for Medicare provider registration.
Current WA Drivers Licence and a preparedness to travel;
Experience in the provision of high quality focussed Psychology Services via the Better Access Initiative (Medicare) to improve treatment and management of mental illness within the community. Demonstrated experience in Psychology service provision and delivery with an evidenced, working knowledge of continuous improvement and familiarity of Person Centred Planning approaches
