Job Details: Cook Medical is looking to employ a high achieving and enthusiastic Production Engineer on a permanent basis to provide engineering support for the production of medical devices manufactured at Cook Australia. This includes sustaining engineering as well as performing continuous improvement activities on production processes and equipment used to produce medical devices.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes, reduce down time and ensure optimal product lead time is achieved
Provide engineering expertise for the diagnosis and repair of various processes, equipment and associated facilities to help achieve reliable operation
Evaluate, manage and support Non-Conformance Records (NCRS), Change Requests (CRs), Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAS) and Supplier Change Evaluations (SCEs) related to manufacturing processes, procedures, equipment or products
Implementation of new equipment and processes in order to drive continuous improvement in the manufacturing environment
Implement methods to monitor and assess manufacturing processes
Perform process validation for manufacturing processes, including authoring protocols and reports and organising tests
Provide specialist engineering support working with internal stakeholders to maximise productivity to ensure non-conformances in the process line are rapidly resolved
Assist production and quality departments to ensure quality and production objectives are maintained and improved meeting established standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications
Key Requirements:

Professional Engineering or Science qualifications essential
Experience in product development and/or manufacturing environments, preferably in the medical device or other regulated industry essential
A solid understanding of risk analysis/risk management techniques and concepts essential
Experience performing Root Cause Analysis and developing Design of Experiments (DoE) essential
Project management skills and experience will be highly regarded
Knowledge of medical device design control requirements will be highly regarded
Previous experience working within a quality management system essential
Approach daily tasks with flexibility, initiative and enthusiasm
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Results-orientated with a high drive to meet personal objectives and standards of excellence
A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
