Job Details: I am working closely with a coal mining owners' team in QLD. This company’s future prospects and investments into met and thermal coal are promising. I am currently assisting them in the recruitment process for a Mining Engineer.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As the Mining Engineer on site you will be:

Reporting to and working closely with the Mine Planning Superintendent
Developing and assisting with the execution of short-term mine plans and mine designs
A key contributor to end of week and monthly reporting which enables the mine to assess and improve production efficiency
The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in Mining or Civil Engineering
2+ years’ experience on an open cut operation (coal or hardrock is fine)
Ability to pick up new tasks quickly
Excellent communication skills
The location is ideal as it provides the option for FIFO Brisbane,, DIDO Mackay region or residential to the mine itself (housing heavily subsidised).
