Current Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity for an intermediate Accountant to join the Business Services team based in Adelaide CBD. BDO’s Business Services division advises some of our state’s most dynamic privately owned business and high net worth families. As a result of our investment in highly motivated professionals, demand for our specialist services continues to grow!
Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparing income tax returns and special purpose financial reports for a wide variety of clients (predominately high wealth individuals, family business and small/medium enterprises)
Assist in researching and preparing practical written advice clearly and concisely presenting solutions on various taxation issues as directed
Liaising with the ATO including preparation of general correspondence in relation to income tax, PAYG & GST matters
Ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently and effectively by meeting technical standards, deadlines and within job budget with complete working papers
Assisting clients with ad-hoc enquiries in a timely fashion
Effective communication with Directors, Managers and peers
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
1-2 years’ experience in a similar environment and a keen interest in tax and advisory
Working towards post graduate qualifications as a Chartered Accountant or Certified Practicing Accountant
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
Passionate about improving your technical expertise and applying it commercially
Efficient time management skills, highly dependable and thrives as part of a team
Advanced Professional Solutions APS (desired)
