Job Details:
Mature, global company within the manufacturing sector is seeking a Continuous Improvement Project Lead to implement, coordinate and control the continuous improvement activities with an initial focus on improvement of the manufacturing process. This role implements Lean within the plant working in close collaboration with the corporate CI leadership, the local management team and operational line management. Reporting to the Managing Director, this initial 12-month contract will require occasional travel to customers and other locations.
Main responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Implement and manage CI inline with the companies overall CI strategy and chosen methodologies
Hands on design, planning and leadership of CI projects with focus on improving safety, service, quality and productivity
Identify, recommend for approval and implement projects and actions to eliminate waste of losses in manufacturing
Build Lean Six Sigma management capability to support deployment and ensure sustainable improvements through coaching, training and facilitating interventions
Partner with the business to evaluate and challenge the status quo to identify value opportunities
Influence key stakeholders and engage operators on the shop floor
To be considered for this role, you will have;
Leadership experience in process improvement in an industrial environment with focus on Lean implementation
Continuous improvement experience and strong project management skills
High level quantitative and analytical skills
Proven ability to manage change, work to deadlines and prioritise conflicting and changing priorities
Working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage and textile or fashion experience highly desired
