Job Summary:
Are you a Chemist who possesses deep knowledge of day to day analysis and control of hazardous materials and looking for an opportunity to drive research and development?
Job Details:
As a Chemist you will be accountable for the analysis and control requirements of hazardous materials, ensuring that this analysis is performed in safe and timely manner at all times.
Key duties include, but not limited to:
• Compliance management for hazardous chemicals
• Responsible for the onsite/ hands on technical support to our hazardous chemical treatment site operations
• Provide technical and analytical support to the site, sales team and external laboratory customers
• Assist operational and technical teams with production
• Run trials, select treatment methods and verify their suitability, ensuring that wastes can be treated profitably.
• Comply and liaise with relevant authorities based where necessary.
Skills and Experience
• Degree or Diploma in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Strong technical and Interpersonal skills
• Previous experience working with waste or chemicals
• Field sampling or laboratory experience
• Experience with risk assessments and work instructions
• Knowledge and understanding of chemicals and applicable legislation relating to their use, storage and disposal.
