To provide administrative and clinical assistance to allied health professionals (AHP) in their day to day clinical duties. Works under the supervision and direction of the AHP and undertakes only those clinical tasks delegated to them.
This role may at times be expected to work within the Eat Walk Engage (EWE) Program.
The EWE program is a multi-professional approach to prevention of delirium and early restorative care in older patients
The purpose of the AHA role in the Eat Walk Engage program is to contribute to patient care by providing clinical support tasks to increase patient nutrition, cognitive stimulation, mobility and functional independence, as delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of allied health professionals or nursing staff on wards participating in the Eat Walk Engage (EWE) program at the Redland Hospital.
Maintain responsibility for personal and professional development by participating in supervision, training and development activities; supervision and performance reviews and appraisals.
Assume responsibility for the monitoring, maintenance and care of equipment; stock control and ordering.
