Job Details: About the business

Best Beach Resort is a tourist resort in Cairns. We currently own a Hotel with 150 room, restaurants, travel agency, winery and Cairns famous attraction "Double Island". To support business growth, we are looking for an experienced and qualified Assistant Accountant.

About the role

Assist with all aspects of financial operations for the group
Assist with financial controls
Assist with internal audit system setup
Assist with company procedures document preparation
Assist with weekly, monthly financial analysis and reporting
Assist with fortnightly payroll and payable
Assist with daily receivable
Assist with cash and bank reconciliation
Manage and monitor cash flow, ensuring invoicing is completed promptly and payment terms are met
Assist in BAS and payroll tax reporting
Assist in Front Office operation and management
Liasing with external accountants
Maintain registrations and insurances
Other assignments as directed by the Employer and/or its Group and related entities
Skills and experience

Professional Accounting degree
Strong attention to detail, organization and numeracy skills
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong Microsoft office skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work within a small team environment
