As a graduate of University of Science and Technology in Cracow, who possess a master in IT Methods in Environmental Protection and a Bachelor in Renewable Sources of Energy, I am confident that my diligence and intrinsic motivation coupled with my experience makes me the ideal candidate for this position. I worked as an assistant in the Environmental Protection Team during my internship at Tauron Polska Energia, the largest energy holding company in Poland. The company owns power and heat generation, as well as distribution and coal mining assets at a number of locations, particularly in south – western Poland. I participated in environmental impact assessments (EIA), partook in internal audits, meetings with contractors and representatives of other companies, and public consultation. Several times I received a scholarship from the University Rector for the highest average and a scholarship for specialties ordered by European Union for the 10% best students of the year. In addition, during my two-semester stay in Padua, Italy – done with Erasmus Exchange Program, I studied many interesting courses among which my greatest attention was drawn by course in GIS for agro-environmental studies where I learned to use QGIS. As a student I have been extensively involved in my university community, which has allowed me to develop strong interpersonal skills. My involvement in various festivals and organizations, including ski club and charity festivals, has allowed me to work closely with my peers and develop strong time management and organizational skills. I come from a country, where the economy is based mainly on a coal, but in recent years the rise of popularity of renewable sources is observed. The opportunity to work in a company as yours that extends its activities towards renewable sources would be an honor and it would be a fulfillment of my dreams. I would be willing also to undertake a temporary paid internship position. I am confident in my ability to utilize my skills sets and expertise to perform excellent work as Environmental Engineer for Duke. It would be an honor to have this opportunity.
